Welcome to FosterTalk. We created FosterTalk in 2007 and the company has maintained the same independent, non-profit legal status since its creation. We have no shareholders, therefore no owners.
We are a ‘not for profit’ company. It is Limited by Guarantee, which means that any profits or ‘surplus’ is ploughed back into the business to benefit its stakeholders/service users as dictated in the company’s legal Memorandum and Articles of Association. This is different from a company Limited by Shares. This major difference means that it does not have a share capital or any shareholders; but ‘Members’ on a Board. Its ‘Members’ cannot benefit financially in accordance with its Memorandum and Articles of Association and any Board Members who have interests in any other organisation do not receive a salary.
FosterTalk’s sole aim is to provide good quality independent support to foster families across the UK. From impartial advice to preferential pricing arrangements, we’ve built up a comprehensive package over the last ten years in order to raise the standards and availability of independent support for foster carers who need help.
So it’s no surprise that we’re fast becoming the UK’s top fostering support service.
We’re the only organisation to focus solely on supporting foster carers.
We know how important it is to listen to and understand our service users, which is why we work in partnership with foster carers and providers to develop our services. It’s our way of ensuring that we offer a flexible, responsive approach that best meets the needs of foster carers and the children in their care.

FosterTalk membership survey
Each year we conduct a membership satisfaction survey for our foster carer members and fostering service employee members to complete. Thank you to all our members who took the time to complete our survey, your feedback is very much appreciated and is vital in helping us to make continuous improvements to our service.
We read and analyse all your comments and rest assured that as part of our commitment to customer service we record all your feedback, and where required, take any necessary action to rectify any issues that you may have with any aspect of your FosterTalk membership.
