First and foremost I like to think of myself as a foster parent. My wife and I have been short term foster parents for over 12 years and have seen numerous children enter our family. Being a foster parent is one of the most difficult things I have done in my life but it has also been the most rewarding and pleasurable thing I have done. My family has been extended by presenting me a son through adoption and retained connections with children and families that have entered our home.
I have performed many roles within the fostering arena including years as a contact worker before becoming the manager of the Fosterline service for all foster carers in England.
I’m immensely proud to become the Managing Director for FosterTalk and with the team we are keen to continue the support, guidance, training and practice advice to the sector.
