Coronavirus impacts BAME children’s mental health more than white peers, research shows

The Covid-19 pandemic is having a greater negative impact on the mental health of children and young people from black, Asian and ethnic minority (BAME) backgrounds than their white peers, latest research shows. A report by online support service Kooth highlights higher proportions of people from BAME backgrounds dying from Covid-19 and school closures as the main reasons for a surge in anxiety among under-18s.
