BACK TO NEWSThe Adoption and Special Guardianship Leadership Board (ASGLB) has published data on adoption and special guardianship in England for the period 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020. Figures show that: 3,190 children were matched with an adoptive family, a decrease of 9% (300) from 2018/19; there are 1,810 approved adoptive families waiting to be matched, a decrease of 5% (90) from 2018/19; and 4,210 special guardianship orders were granted, an increase of 10% (380) from 2018/19.
