Offering learning opportunities in partnership with FosterTalk demonstrates commitment to Foster Carers by providing ongoing development opportunities, not merely the minimum to get them started. It allows Carers to develop new skills and potentially widen their approved category status in order to have more placement opportunities. More highly skilled Carers lead to better placement opportunities and more successful placements. Offering training to Carers can motivate them and this is proven to lead to more successful placement stability and better outcomes for the children and young people they look after!
FosterTalk training is cost effective and can be delivered in-house at a time best suited to the needs of participants, including evenings and weekends. All learning solutions can be customised to reflect the values and key messages from the organisation. Workshop manuals can be provided and own-branded if required. We can also train in-house trainers to deliver our workshops.
