FosterTalk is looking for suitably qualified practitioners in throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, to join our UK-wide network of experienced Advisors delivering the Foster Carers Independent Support Service on a self-employed basis.
As a FISS Advisor you would provide independent professional advice, support, advocacy and/ or mediation to Foster Carers who have had concerns, complaints or allegations made against them, in line with national minimum standards and best practice guidance.
Applicants should be qualified social workers with a background in child care and a good working knowledge of fostering policies, practices and procedures, especially those relating to allegations against foster carers.
Please note that these roles are offered on a sessional, self- employed basis, and are subject to satisfactory checks and references including enhanced disclosure. For an informal discussion about the role, please speak to Jackie Edwards, Professional Advisor, or Joan Wallace-Powell, FISS Supervisor at FosterTalk on 01527 836 910.
